An effective way to stop stammering is to speak slowly. Do not try to rush while speaking as you may have trouble to get the words out.
2. Keep practicing
Practice speaking in a safe environment. Take help from a loved one who can sit with you and talk for an hour or so. Or you could join a self-help group.
3. Try meditation
Practice mindfulness as it'll help you relax and alleviate anxiety, which in turn can help you deal with stuttering.
4. Record yourself
If you can record yourself, it'll help you notice words or phrases that trigger you to stammer.
5. Keep an eye out for new treatments
To help speak more fluently, you can use a specialised ear device known as a speech monitor.
