Hyundai Exter has been named Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2024.
It outperformed competitors like Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Toyota Innova Hycross.
The ICOTY awards are decided by 18 automobile journalists.
Exter has been a top seller in the subcompact SUV segment.
It is powered by 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces 83bhp, 113.8Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Hyundai also offers a CNG powertrain option for the car.
Features include sunroof, dashboard camera, LED lighting and climate control.
Hyundai Exter was launched in India in July 2023.
The car costs between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.
