India registered their 126th T20I win to take the top spot as the most successful men's T201 side , overtaking Pakistan

India started off on a high, with Jaiswal battering the Aussies for boundaries galore.

Right after  India put up their first 50 runs, Jaiswal fell victim to Aaron Hardie's tempting short delivery.

Disaster followed as wickets kept tumbling leaving India at 63-3 before they knew what struck them.

In came Rinku Singh, with his swashbuckling swagger, to reignite India's stand.

Rinku and debutant Jitesh Sharma put up a fiery and valiant stand,  notching a 56-run partnership, to steer India clear of danger.

Ben Dwarshuis struck on time to remove the in-form Rinku Singh and break up the momentum.

It was then time for Jason Behrendorff to clean up the Indian batting order, as they restricted them to a total of 174-9.

Australia's Travis Head came through in his signature aggressive style and got the Aussies off to a fair start.

But the dangerman was enticed by an Axar Patel delivery and skied one right to the hands of Mukesh Sharma, to leave the crease.

A similar story to India's innings entailed, where Australia just struggled to put up a stand, losing wickets in regualr intervals.

India's bowlers thrived as they picked away at the Aussie middle-order with ease.

Once again, skipper Matthew Wade tried to salvage the match and came in hot to keep the Aussie hopes alive.

At the end, India wrapped up a comfortable 20-run win, and Suryakumar Yadav registered his first series win as skipper.
