Trans Harbour Link
India’s longest sea bridge project Mumbai Trans Harbour Link is one of the highly anticipated projects.
The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link is a six-lane 21.8 km road bridge between Sewri in Mumbai and Chirle in Navi Mumbai.
Once operational, it will reduce the travel distance from Sewri (Central Mumbai) to Chirle (Navi Mumbai) to 15-20 minutes.
There will be a 90-minute reduction in travel time between Lonavala, Khandala, and Mumbai with this project.
A significant portion of the bridge's length is over water, while the remaining length is on land.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is overseeing the project’s execution.
According to reports, pending tasks include electrification, pole installation, toll booths, and system integration.
