With air quality worsening, BCCI has decided against fireworks in Mumbai and Delhi after World Cup games

This means there will be no fireworks at Wankhede Stadium after India take on Sri Lanka on Thursday

The air quality in both Mumbai and Delhi have been "very poor" over the last few days

Even India captain Rohit Sharma had shared his concern over Mumbai's air quality on Instagram

The decision to stop fireworks in World Cup was taken by BCCI general secretary Jay Shah

A victory for India over Sri Lanka at Wankhede however will be nothing short of fireworks

India are just one win away from securing a semi-finals spot in the World Cup 2023

Sri Lanka on the other hand need to win to stay alive in the semis race

Wankhede is also the venue where India defeated Sri Lanka in 2011 to win the World Cup

India and Sri Lanka's head-to-head in ODI World Cups is tied at 4-4
