Producer: Peuli Bakshi

Ravindra Jadeja's incredible 5/33 came in India's Men's ODI World Cup match vs South Africa at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Nov 5, 2023.

He became the seventh Indian bowler to score a five-for, bettering Kapil Dev's 5/43 record vs Australia, in Nottingham on June 13, 1983.

He took crucial wickets of Temba Bavuma, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada.

He became the first Indian bowler to pick up 5 wickets against the South Africans in World Cup history. He attained it within his 9 bowled overs.

He also became the second spinner, following Yuvraj Singh to do so, and the leading wicket-taker for India against South Africa in World Cup.

Virat Kohli's birthday-special 49th ODI century, Shreyas Iyer's 77 runs and Rohit Sharma's 40 (24) were the chief contributions of India's batting side.

Jaddu also smashed 29* off just 15, besides his amazing bowling spell, helping India register its eighth successive victory.

Owing to such stellar performances from team India, they bowled-out South Africa for just 83 in a massive 243-run rout.

Overall, the men in blue have put forth a performance enough to make Indians hopeful of a good result in their upcoming semi-final clash.
