5 DIY Hair Masks to Protect Your Hair from Air Pollution

Increasing pollution levels can impact your hair health. Ash, dust, smoke, and gaseous pollutants have the potential to damage the hair and scalp.

Here are five DIY hair masks that can help protect your hair from air pollution.

Avocado and egg hair mask

Mix 1 avocado with 1 whole egg and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Apply this paste to your hair. Keep it on for half an hour and wash it off with cold water. 

Honey, egg yolk and almond oil hair mask

Add 1 tbsp of almond oil, 1 tbsp of honey and 1 egg yolk to a bowl. Mix the ingredients and apply the paste to your scalp and hair. After 1 hour, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Banana, milk and cocoa powder hair mask

Mash 1 banana in a bowl and add 2 tsp of whole milk and 2 tsp of cocoa powder to it. Apply the mask on your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing.

Coconut oil and honey hair mask

Mix 1 tbsp of coconut with 2 tsp of honey in a bowl. Apply it on your scalp and hair. Keep it on for 30 minutes and wash it off with your regular shampoo.

Coconut oil and aloe vera gel hair mask
