ICC suspends Sri Lanka Cricket 

The ICC recently suspended the Sri Lanka Cricket over "government interference" 

This comes amid Sri Lanka's disappointing performance at the World Cup, where they missed out on the semi-finals 

Following their heavy defeat to India, Sri Lanka sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe had sacked the entire cricket board 

However, the board had been reinstated by Sri Lanka's Court of Appeal 

The sports minister has said that the  Sri Lanka Cricket would appeal the ICC ban

Issues like Angelo Mathews' controversial dismissal have hurt the Lankans big time 

Sri Lanka signed off from the World Cup with a defeat to New Zealand in their last game
