NO SPEED LIMITS OR TAXES

Laws that don't apply to Britain's King Charles

King Charles enjoys sovereign immunity, meaning he can’t be prosecuted under a civil or criminal investigation.

He is also exempt from punishment over wildlife offences, environmental pollution, and other green crimes.

As the British monarch, King Charles will not require a British passport to travel internationally.

He is also no longer required to use a driver’s licence while driving.

Royals have no speed limits when police escorting them on official duties.

The same rule does not apply to other members of the royal family.

The King is not legally liable to pay income tax, capital gains tax, or inheritance tax.

The royals are not required to use their legal last names, even though they technically do have one.

The monarch has automatic legal custody of all of their descendants and minor grandchildren.

Another royal perk is that members of the King’s family do not have to take part in jury duty.

The Queen had two birthdays yearly - her real birthday on 21 April and her official public birthday celebration on the second Saturday in June.

King Charles’ could also follow his mother’s lead and have a second celebration in June too.

The monarch is also exempt from the Freedom of Information Act.
