Study Reveals Indian Gamers Are Earning Between 6-12 Lakh Per Year

Gaming and e-sports are influencing the creator economy, moving gaming careers into the mainstream.

HP's recent study says half of serious Indian gamers, can earn between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.

The study involved 3500 participants, including 500 parents from 15 tier 1 and 15 tier 2 cities across India.

Gamers can have diverse income sources, including brand sponsorships, tournaments, and streaming.

Parents' perspective on gaming has also positively changed.

Despite the positive shift, 49% of parents still rely on friends and family for information.

75% of Gen Z and 67% of non-metro millennials take gaming seriously.

Gamers prefer gaming on PCs, with 67% of them favouring them over mobile phones.

Most gamers are willing to invest over Rs 1,00,000 in gaming hardware.
