In 2018, Lalchhandama Ralte (MNF) won Tuivawl by just 3 votes, while Lalruatkima (MNF) had a 2720-vote margin in Aizawl West - II.
Currently, 8 out of 40 Assembly constituencies in Mizoram have vacant MLA seats.
In 2018, the highest number of votes were polled in Tuichawng, the only constituency where BJP won.
INC has been winning the 2008, 2013 and 2018 Assembly elections in Hachhek, West Tuipui and Thorang.
With 36,041 eligible electors in 2023, Tuichawng is the largest constituency in Mizoram.
Thorang, with 14,909 electors, is the smallest constituency in Mizoram.
39 out of 40 Assembly seats in Mizoram are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
Mizoram has only one Third Gender voter according to the Election Commission’s electoral roll.
