Baliehof Houtlandse Asche Kaas (Belgium) The Baliehof Houtlandse Asche Kaas, a hard, unpasteurised cows’ milk cheese from Belgium, is the world’s second best.

Eberle Würzig Seit 5 Generationen (Switzerland) The Swiss Eberle Würzig Seit 5 Generationen, produced by Dorfkäserei Muolen ranked third. Its bold and savoury taste is a testament to the five generations of expertise poured into its creation.

Eleftheria Brunost (India) Originating from India, the Eleftheria Brunost by Vivanda stands out in the world of artisanal cheeses, coming in at fourth. 

Müller-Thurgau Rezent (Switzerland) Another Swiss gem, the Müller-Thurgau Rezent, crafted by Käserei Müller-Thurgau, exemplifies the Swiss commitment to cheese excellence, ranking fifth. The cheese’s distinct taste profile reflects the alpine terroir of Switzerland.

Kärntnermilch Mölltaler Almkäse Selektion 50% FiT (Austria) Coming in at number six is Kärntnermilch Mölltaler Almkäse Selektion 50% FiT. The careful selection of ingredients and meticulous crafting make it a top-tier product.

Michel (Germany) Michel, a cheese from Germany made by the talented folks at Rohmilchkäserei Backensholz, is special because it carries the tradition of generations. Michel bagged the seventh spot in the world rankings. 

Holland Delta, 1 Year Old (Netherlands) This is a one-year-aged cheese from Van der Heiden Kaas in the Netherlands. It is unique as it has spent an entire year ageing, giving it a rich and mature flavour. It was named the ninth-best cheese in 2023.

Old Amsterdam Goat (Netherlands) Old Amsterdam Goat, which rounds the top 10, is a cheese with a twist. Crafted by Westland Kaasexport in the Netherlands, it’s made from goat milk.
