Ricky Ponting took the role of captain in the middle of the season and he chose to drop himself as the captain in place of Rohit Sharma

The Hitman took on the role as the skipper for the franchise and led them to five IPL titles.

Kieron Pollard

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, the West Indies all-rounder took on the role as skipper and has won five of the nine games he has captained. 

2014-2021

Suryakumar Yadav

The 360-degree batter was the deputy in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard's retirement.  He only led the side for one game and managed to get the win.
