Indian Meteorological Department on August 1 said India has received 7% excess rains this year with good rain over Northwest & Peninsular India

There was 17% excess rainfall in July in North West India while Bihar & North East saw deficient rainfall.

While IMD expects increased rainfall over Central India & Maharashtra, high rainfall warning has been issued for Kerala, Karnataka, & Tamil Nadu for next few days.

States of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal received less rainfall than normal till now but is likely to get more rainfall in September 2022.

With rainfall prediction normal for September, air quality in coming months is also expected to be normal.
