Dean Elgar's fine form continued as he notched up a fine 150 runs and kept on attacking the Indian bowlers.

Bowler Marco Jansen also joined in on the scoring and together the pair put up a  quickfire 100-run partnership.

Shardul Thakur finally ended Elgar's dismantling of India as he dismissed him for 185 runs, providing India a much needed breakthrough.

Jansen on the other hand kept piling the misery on India as he slashed the bowlers for boundaries at will and put up a massive 87*

Bumrah though entered the attack and cleaned up the SA lower order, to ende their innings at 408 runs, and India trailing by 164 runs.

But South Africa's bowling attack were equally prepared to wreak havoc as the duo of Burger-Rabada picked off the Indian top-order with ease.

Debutant Nandre Burger was the star of the show though as he kept menacing India with his variations and his wicket-taking prowess.

The ever-inevitable Virat Kohli entered to turn the momentum around as he went on the offensive and attacked SA's pacers at will to give India a glimmer of hope.

But, the likes of Rabada, Jansen and Burger were just too much to handle for the rest of India's batting order as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Kohli though remained unfazed and put up a valiant fifty as he continues to take on the SA bowlers to somehow help India claw their way back into the game.

But eventually, he also fell victim to Jansen and South Africa wrapped up the win by a comfortable margin of an innings and 32 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
