Mumbai Trans Harbour Link To Launch On January 12

PM Modi will inaugurate the Harbour Link on January 12.

The MTHL project is said to be India’s longest sea bridge.

It is also the world’s 12th-longest bridge.

Once ready, it will reduce the distance between Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Raigad.

The MTHL is a 6-lane and  21.8-kilometer-long bridge.

Out of the total span, 16.5 km of stretch is above the sea and land length is about 5.5 km.

It will have interchanges at Sewri, Shivaji Nagar, Jassi, and Chirle.

The bridge will connect to the arterial Mumbai Pune Expressway.

It passed the load-carrying capacity tests held recently.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency provided loan for the project.
