During Afghanistan’s innings, a young fan ran past security and entered the ground.
He rushed towards Virat Kohli and touched his feet before hugging him.
The stadium guards then removed the fan from the ground.
The fan was reportedly detained by Madhya Pradesh Police for breaching security.
Speaking of the game, Kohli was on the attack right from the start.
He scored 29 runs in 16 balls before falling in the final over of powerplay.
Despite India’s rocky start, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal played some crucial knocks.
India ultimately won the match by 6 wickets, with more than 4 overs left.
