Australia's Shaun Marsh Announces Retirement

Shaun Marsh announced his retirement from professional cricket on January 14.

The Australian top-order batter will play his last game for Melbourne Renegades in the BBL.

Marsh will feature in the Renegades’ next match against Sydney Thunders on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old has been in impressive form in the Big Bash League  this season.

Shaun Marsh entered the campaign late due to an injury.

Marsh has struck 181 runs in 5 appearances during the campaign.

He has recorded an average of over 45, with a strike rate of 138.16.

Before joining the Renegades, Marsh had played for Perth Scorchers for 8 BBL seasons.

Marsh represented Australia in all formats since his international debut in 2008.

He has competed in 73 ODIs, 38 Tests and 15 T20Is, scoring 5293 runs overall.

Marsh’s last international appearance came against Sri Lanka at 2019 ODI World Cup.

He won the Orange Cup of the inaugural IPL for Kings XI Punjab in 2008.
