BCCI Awards: Ravi Shastri, Farokh Engineer Get Lifetime Achievement; Shubman Gill, Deepti Stars of 2022-23

Legendary cricketers Farokh Engineer and Ravi Shastri were presented with the Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Shubman Gill won the Polly Umirgar Award for the best cricketer in the 2022-23 season.
All-rounder Deepti Sharma bagged the best women’s cricketer award for the last season. She also won the same award for the 2019-20 calendar year.
Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah also received the Polly Umirgar Awards for the past years when the ceremony wasn’t held.
The young cricketers from domestic cricket also received awards in several categories.
R Ashwin and young Yashasvi Jaiswal received awards for their incredible performance on West Indies in a two-match Test series last year.
The BCCI also identified the best debutants in women’s and men’s cricket for the past four years and awarded them. Shreyas Iyer won the award for 2021-22.
Axar Patel Won the Men's Best Debutant Award for 2020-21.
