Yashasvi Jaiswal Joins Sunil Gavaskar On An Elusive List After Maiden Test Double Century

India’s 2nd Test against England saw Yashasvi Jaiswal notch a double century.

Jaiswal belted 19 boundaries and seven sixes en route to the milestone.

Jaiswal scored his maiden Test double ton at the age of 22 years and 77 days.

This makes him the 3rd youngest Indian to achieve this landmark.

Vinod Kambli takes 1st place. He was  21 years and 32 days at that time.

He pulled off this knock against England at Wankhdede in 1993.

Taking 2nd place is Sunil Gavaskar who hit double ton at 21 years and 277 days.

Gavaskar scored 220 runs against the West Indies in 1971.

The record for the youngest double centurion in Test Cricket is held by Pakistan’s Javed Miandad.

Miandad scored his double ton against New Zealand in 1976.

He was at 19 years and 119 days of age.
