Australia Lift 2024  U-19 World Cup

Australia claimed their fourth  U-19 World Cup by beating India. 

The Indian men’s senior team had earlier lost the WTC and the  ODI World Cup finals to the Aussies. 

Australia chose to bat first in the  U-19 World Cup final in Benoni. 

Opener Sam Konstas returned with a duck in the third over. 

Harry Dixon and Huge Weibgen revived the innings with a 78-run stand. 

Harjas Singh scored a brilliant 55, comprising three fours and as many sixes. 

Powered by Ollie Peake’s unbeaten 46, Australia scored  253 runs. 

Indian pacer Raj Limbani fetched a three-wicket haul. 

India faced a batting collapse during the chase. 

Opener Adarsh Singh was the top scorer with 47 runs.

Only three more Indian batters managed a two-digit score. 

India were bundled out in  43.2 overs, falling 79 runs short of the target.
