Himachal Pradesh Political Turmoil: All you need to know

Himachal Pradesh PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh resigned on February 28, deepening the crisis for the state government.

His resignation has come a day after 6 Cong legislators and 3 independent MLAs cross-voted in favour of BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan

Congress had issued a whip to its MLAs to vote for Abhsihek Manu Singhvi, a senior party leader and a New Delhi-based lawyer.

After reports claiming HP CM Sukhwinder Sukhu has resigned, he told PTI, "I want to clarify that I haven't resigned. I am a warrior. We will prove our majority during the Budget Session."

The Congress may slip below the halfway majority mark of 35 seats if six of its MLAs desert the party.
