Dhokla is super soft and spongy and is topped with a flavourful tempering. You can enjoy this delicious Gujarati delicacy for breakfast or even as a snack. Here's an easy recipe to make it at home.
Prepare the dhokla batter by adding besan, turmeric powder, oil, yoghurt, sugar, salt, and water in a bowl. Combine everything and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.

Now, add baking soda to the batter. Mix well.

Pour the batter into a steamer and let it steam for 15-20 mins.

Prepare the tempering. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Add curry leaves, green chillies, asafoetida, sugar, and water. Close the lid and switch off the flame.

Pour this tempering over the dhoklas and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Khatta meetha dhokla is ready!
