Ragi Chocolate Pancakes Recipe

Ragi chocolate pancakes are packed with the goodness of ragi flour and are perfect for kids. Here's a look at an easy recipe to make it at home.

Ingredients

01 Ragi flour - 1 cup

02 Cocoa Powder - 2 tbsp

03 Sugar - 2 tbsp

04 Baking Powder - 1 tsp

05 Salt (A pinch)

06 Egg - 1

07 Milk - 1 cup

08 Melted butter - 2 tbsp

09 Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp

10 Chocolate Chips - 1/2 cup

11 Honey - 2 tbsp

12 Fresh Fruits - 1/2 cup (chopped)

Take a bowl and add ragi flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt to it. Mix so that all the ingredients combine well.

Step 1

In another bowl, whisk an egg along with milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until it’s smooth and lump-free.

Combine the ingredients of both the bowls and mix. Be careful not to overmix. Some lumps are okay in this consistency. At this point fold in some chocolate chips into the batter for enhanced flavour.

Allow the batter to rest for 10-15 minutes so that the ingredients meld together and create fluffier pancakes.

Now, take a nonstick pan and heat it over medium heat. Grease the surface lightly with butter and pour ¼ cup of pancake batter onto the surface.

Cook the pancakes for 3-4 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look set.

Step 6

Carefully flip the pancakes with a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the pancakes are cooked through and lightly brown.

Step 7

Once done, remove the pancakes from the heat and transfer them onto a plate. Serve warm alongside freshly cut fruits, honey, or even whipped cream!
