Open Instagram on your phone and search for the name of the group you wish to leave. Open the group chat.

Tap on the group's name at the top of the chat window. You will see several options, including “Add,” “Search,” “Mute,” and “Leave.” Tap on “Leave.”

Instagram will prompt you to confirm that you want to leave the group. Tap on “Leave” again to confirm.

Once you've left the group, you will no longer receive or be able to send messages in the group chat.
