Restaurant-Style Dragon Chicken Recipe

Dragon chicken is an Indo-Chinese appetizer and an ideal side dish for lunch or dinner. Here's an easy recipe to make restaurant-style dragon chicken at home.

Ingredients for marinade

Chicken breast strips - 350 gm Soy sauce - 1 tsp Pepper - 1/4 tsp Salt (According to the taste) Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Rice flour - 1 tbsp Maida - 1 tbsp Maida - 1 tbsp

Ingredients for stir fry

Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp Red chilli sauce - 1 tsp Onion (cut into chunks) - 1 Red capsicum (cut into chunks) - 1 Cashew nuts - 1/4 cup Vinegar - 1/2 tsp Soy sauce - 1 tsp Tomato ketchup - 1 tsp Salt (According to the taste) Corn flour - 1 tsp Water - 1/4 cup Green capsicum (cut into chunks) - 1 Spring onions (for garnishing))

Step 1

For the marinade, add all the ingredients into a bowl. Mix well and set aside. Make sure there are no lumps.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan, for shallow frying the marinated chicken strips.

Step 3

Now, add one chicken strip at a time and allow them to fry on medium heat until golden brown.

Step 4

For the stir fry, heat oil in a wok on high heat. Add garlic and red chilli paste. Fry on high heat for 1-2 mins.

Step 5

Add onion, and capsicum and saute well.

Step 6

Add vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and salt. Mix well.

Step 7

In a separate bowl, combine corn flour and water. Add it to the wok. Cook until the sauce thickens.

Step 8

Add fried chicken strips and toss to combine. Top it with spring onions and cashews. Serve hot and enjoy!
