'2G-Mukt Bharat': Jio launches JioBharat phone for Rs 999

Reliance Jio accelerated the JioBharat phone platform to make a '2G-Mukt Bharat, to bring an era of change.

The price of JioBharat is only Rs 999 and it will enable existing 250 million feature phone users with internet-enabled phones.

Beta trials for first 1 million JioBharat phones begins from July 7, 2023. It will be carried out across 6,500 tehsils.

Jio says its platform will provide 30 percent cheaper monthly plan rates and seven times more data compared to offerings in this space from other operators.

The phone comes with a Rs 123 plan per month for unlimited voice calls and offers 14GB data.

The phone will provide features and digital capabilities to allow buyers achieve more by doing more.
