Uttar Pradesh

Thus far, the nation has had 14 prime ministers, with eight hailing from Uttar Pradesh (UP). Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Chaudhari Charan Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Viswanath Pratap Singh, Chandra Shekhar, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee belonged to UP.

P.V. Narasimha Rao was a leader of the Congress (I) Party faction of the Indian National Congress (Congress Party) and prime minister of India from 1991 to 1996.Rao was born in a small village near Karimnagar (now in Telangana, India).
