How to Make Tangy Tomato Dosa at Home

Dosa is a popular South Indian dish that is made from fermented batter of rice and black lentils.

But have you ever tried tomato dosa? The tangy flavour of tomatoes elevates the taste of this dish.

The ingredients which are required to make this dish are rice, urad dal, tomatoes, coriander seeds and refined oil.

To prepare this delicious dosa, take two bowls of water. Now soak rice and dal in them separately for 3-4 hours.

Now, in a mixer, grind the rice, urad dal and coriander seeds.

After grinding them properly, add the chopped tomatoes and red chillies to it. Grind it again to obtain a smooth batter.

Now, transfer the batter to a large bowl and add salt, as per your taste.

Now, keep the bowl aside for 30-45 minutes. Next, heat a tawa over a medium flame and pour a ladleful of the batter on it. Spread it outwards using a ladle.

Apply oil around the edges and flip it to cook from both sides. Make sure that the flame is medium and the dosa is neither undercooked or over cooked.

You can serve it with sambar and coconut chutney.
