Interestingly, Shashank’s signing for PBKS at IPL 2024 auction made the headlines.
PBKS had reportedly made a blunder at the IPL 2024 auction, held in December last year.
They got confused over the name of a player and reportedly picked the wrong Shashank Singh.
They signed the wrong Shashank Singh for Rs 20 lakh.
PBKS were not allowed by the auctioneer to change the player.
The team management had originally planned to sign the 19-year-old batter with a similar name.
PBKS, however, later clarified that signing the 32-year-old was a planned move.
Shashank Singh had previously been part of DC, RR and SRH in IPL.
