OpenAI saw fastest valuation increase up $80 billion followed by SpaceX up $43 billion, according to the latest Hurun Global Unicorn Index 2024. Take a look at the top 10 most valuable unicorns.
Beijing-headquartered ByteDance has maintained its position as the world’s most valuable unicorn with a value of $220 billion for the third consecutive year.
Los Angeles-based SpaceX soared by$43 billion in value to retain second place with a total worth of $180 billion.
OpenAI surged by $80 billion in valuation, reaching a total of $100 billion, securing its position in the top three.
Ant Group, headquartered in Hangzhou, slipped down one spot to fourth place, after a decrease of $40 billion in valuation, bringing it to a total of $80 billion.
Shein, the fast fashion brand founded in Guangzhou, slid down to fifth place, with a valuation of $65 billion.
Despite a valuation increase of $11 billion, San Francisco's payment solutions platform, Stripe, slipped down one place to sixth in the rankings, now valued at $61 billion.
Maintaining its seventh-place, San Francisco's data and AI firm, Databricks, saw $12 billion increase in valuation, bringing it to a total of $43 billion.
Canva surged into the top 10 rankings, claiming the eighth spot, with its valuation doubling to $39 billion.
Securing the ninth position, cryptocurrency exchange Binance witnessed a $14 billion increase in valuation, reaching a total of $34 billion, despite a hefty $4.3 billion fine in the US.
WeBank, backed by Tencent, clinched the tenth spot, sliding down four positions, with a valuation standing at $33 billion.
