IPL 2024: Travis Head Smashes Fourth-Fastest Hundred in IPL History

SRH opener Travis Head made history by recording the fourth-fastest century in IPL history during a match against RCB.

Batting at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, he achieved his maiden IPL century, surpassing Adam Gilchrist's 42-ball ton.

Head showcased remarkable batting prowess, reaching his fifty in just 20 balls, marking his second half-century within the powerplay in IPL 2024 on Monday.

His century came off 39 deliveries, comprising 9 fours and 8 sixes, contributing significantly to SRH's total of 287 for 3, the second-highest in T20 cricket.

This feat places Head's century among the fourth fastest in IPL history, following Chris Gayle's (30 balls), Yusuf Pathan's and David Miller's (35 balls) centuries.

Despite his explosive innings, he was dismissed by Lockie Ferguson in the 13th over, while attempting another aerial shot.

Travis Head's century propelled SRH to a formidable total, demonstrating his contribution to the team's success.
