Gold at over Rs 74,000: How high will it go

The price of 24-carat gold has risen to ₹74,785 in Mumbai on April 16.

The international price of gold was slightly less than $2,400 an ounce at 1 pm in Singapore.

Citigroup expects $3,000 an ounce this year.

UBS's target price for gold is $2,700 an ounce by year-end.

Goldman Sachs' target price is $2,500 an ounce by year-end.

Gold is a good store of value and a wealth creator when inflation runs high.

The fear of an all-out war between Israel and Iran has driven the latest rally in gold.
