Jos Buttler Surpasses Virat Kohli for Most IPL 100s in Run Chases

Rajasthan Royals' Jos Buttler, with his knock of 107 off 60 vs KKR at the Eden Gardens has now racked up his 7th IPL hundred.

He dominated the KKR bowlers and led his side to victory, by chasing down a big total of 224. Even KKR's Sunil Narine's 109 off 56 could not add 2 more points on the table for the Knight Riders.

He is now just one century away from equalling Virat Kohli’s record of 8 IPL tons.

However, Buttler has surpassed the Indian batting maestro in scoring the most IPL centuries while chasing.

The mainstay batsman for RR has registered three IPL centuries while being on the chasing side, while Virat has two such hundreds to him name.

Buttler was absent in the previous fixture vs PBKS due to a injury, and made a stellar comeback in the match against KKR.

During the post-match presentation, the England skipper confessed on emulating Dhoni and Kohli's strategies to secure a memorable victory for the RR.

He said, "I faced some challenges finding my rhythm...In the IPL, we've witnessed numerous instances of remarkable turnarounds. Players like Dhoni and Kohli exemplify perseverance and belief, and I endeavored to emulate that."
