Voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 began today, April 19. During the first phase, voting will take place in 21 states and Union Territories, marking it as the largest phase of all. Here's a look at the six most challenging polling booths in India.

Nongriat, Meghalaya

Located in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, the Nongriat polling station is one the most challenging and non-motorable polling stations in India.

Tashigang, Himachal Pradesh

Located in Himachal Pradesh's Spiti Valley, Tashigang is India's highest polling booth which is 29 kilometers away from the Chinese border.

Chettialathoor, Kerala

A polling booth in Chettialathoor, Kerala has been built within a wildlife sanctuary.

 Kamsing village, Meghalaya

Situated 69 km from district headquarters in Jowai, and 44 km from sub-district headquarters (tehsildar's office) Amlarem, the village has the farthest and non-motorable polling station in Meghalaya.
