Dhaba Style Dal Fry Recipe

Wash and soak yellow lentils (toor dal) for 30 minutes.

Pressure cook dal with water, turmeric, and salt until soft.

Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.

Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Cook until onions are golden.

Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

Pour in cooked dal, adjust consistency with water, and simmer.

Prepare a tempering of ghee, cumin seeds, garlic, and dried red chilies.

Pour the tempering over the dal, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve hot with rice or roti.
