Amritsari Prawn Fry Recipe You Must Try

Amritsari cuisine is popular for its taste and spices. Here's an easy recipe for Amritsari prawn fry that you must try.

Ingredients

Shelled prawns: 1.5 cup Besan (roasted): 5 tbsp Cornflour: 3 tbsp Maida: 1.5 cup Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tbsp Haldi: 1 tsp Garam masala: 1 tsp Ajwain: 1 tsp Hing: 1 tsp Amchur powder: 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder: 1 tsp Salt (according to taste) Oil (for frying) Water (as needed)

Step 1

Add besan, maida, cornflour and ginger-garlic paste in a bowl. Add haldi, garam masala, Kashmiri red chilli powder, amchur powder, hing and ajwain. Mix well.

Step 2

Gradually add some water to make a thick batter. Refrigerate this mixture for around 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Once, done heat oil in a kadhai on medium flame and start adding the prawns. Fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Step 4

Drain them out on a paper towel and serve hot with sliced onions, green chillies and green chutney on the side.
