Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 night in an excise policy-linked money laundering case.

The 55-year-old leader’s arrest, amid the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, drew angry reactions from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Opposition leaders from the INDIA bloc expressed their support for Kejriwal and condemned the arrest.

Kejriwal is the third AAP leader to be arrested over the alleged corruption case.

Arvind Kejriwal has been in Tihar Jail since April 1, 2024.

Amid this, a controversy erupted on Kejriwal's health. His lawyer demanded some medicines and a special diet inside jail in view of his illness.

AAP questioned why a person with 300 blood sugar level was not given insulin.

But Tihar Jail authorities said the CM was fine and had consultation with AIIMs and has no "serious health concern"

The CM also started a "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se" campaign from jail against his arrest.

On May 10, ahead of the Delhi elections on May 25, the SC granted interim bail to the Delhi CM till June 1.
