7 benefits of eating chia seeds

Chia seeds are a powerhouse of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids promote heart health and brain function to improve cognition and cardiovascular health. 

The type of omega-3 fatty acid found in chia seeds is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body cannot produce on its own. ALA is linked to reduced inflammation and lower blood pressure.

Chia seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber which helps aid digestion. Fiber can also help reduce ‘bad’ cholesterol levels.
