Avoid these foods to keep cavities at bay

1. Sugary Sweets Sugary sweets, like candies and lollipops, promote tooth decay by feeding harmful bacteria in your mouth.

2. Carbonated Soft Drinks Carbonated soft drinks are high in sugar and acids, which erode enamel and cause cavities. 

3. Sticky Snacks  Sticky snacks, such as caramel and gummy candies, adhere to teeth and are difficult to clean off.  

4. Refined Carbohydrates Refined carbohydrates, like white bread and crackers, quickly turn into sugars that can lead to cavities. 

5. Citrus Fruits Citrus fruits, such as lemons and oranges, are acidic and can wear down tooth enamel over time.

6. Dried Fruits Dried fruits, including raisins and apricots, are sticky and high in sugar, making them cavity culprits.

7. Alcoholic Beverages Alcoholic beverages can dry out your mouth, reducing saliva production and increasing cavity risk.   

8. Yoghurt  Fruit yoghurt are high on sugar and can lead to tooth decay. Stick to plain or Greek yoghurt.  

9. Potato chips Starches are found in potato chips and they can be just as bad for your teeth as sweets. Refined carbohydrates dissolve into simple sugars in the mouth, which feed the bacteria on your teeth
