Rajasthan Royals are the second team to qualify for this year's IPL playoffs. A look at RR's playoff records over the years

2008 Season

In the inaugural season of the IPL, RR finished at the top of the points table with 11 wins and 3 losses from 14 league games. The Royals beat Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the first semifinal to setup the title clash with CSK. In the final RR defeated CSK by 3 wickets and were crowned the first champions of the IPL. 

2013 Season

After winning the first season of the IPL, Rajasthan Royals finished in top-4 the next time in 2013. The team managed a third-place finish with 10 wins and 6 losses from 16 matches. The team defeated SRH in the Eliminator and took on MI in Qualifier-2. MI won Qualifier-2 by 4 wickets to end RR's road in the tournament. 

2015 Season

Rajasthan Royals finished fourth on the IPL points table in the 2015 season with 7 wins and 5 losses from 14 league games. RR took on RCB in the eliminator and were defeated by 71 runs, thereby ending their run for the season. 

2018 Season

After missing the 2016 and 2017 season of the IPL due to ban, the team returned to the league in 2018 and qualified for the playoffs with a fourth-place finish with 7 wins and 7 losses from 14 league games. The team locked horns with KKR in the Eliminator and lost the match by 25 runs. 

2022 Season

Following 2018 IPL, Rajasthan Royals suffered three poor seasons. But the team bounced back to form in 2022 IPL as it managed a second place finish in the league with 9 wins and 5 losses from 14 games. The team took on newcomers GT in Qualifier-I and lost the match by 7 wickets. It next played RCB in Qualifier-2. The team clinched this fixture by 7 wickets to set a final with GT. GT won the final by 7 wickets to lift the IPL trophy in its first season.
