Do you know your body type?

Not losing weight despite all the efforts? Your body may hold clue.

Body type or somatotype was conceptualized by Dr. W.H. Sheldon in 1940. These are endomorph, mesomorph, and ectomorph.

Endomorph Have more body fat. Mostly women belong to this type. This type gains weight very quickly.

Diet and exercise If you are an endomorph, eat healthy fats and high protein. Weight and endurance training are best for this type.

Mesomorph Can lose and gain  weight easily.

Diet and exercise For mesomorphs, high-intensity workouts, plyometrics, pilates and yoga work. Protein must in diets with a healthy blend of carbs and fats.

Ectomorph Usually very long and thin, but they can still be skinny fat, meaning they can have low weight but high fat in the body.

Diet and exercise Eat good-quality fats and prune intake of protein. Resistance training is recommended by experts.
