England clinched a 41-run win over Namibia at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound on Saturday (June 15), keeping their Super 8 hopes alive
Batting first, England posted 122/5 in 10 overs, setting a required run rate of 12.20 for Namibia to win.
Both the English openers were dismissed in 2.1 overs. Buttler had to leave the field with a golden duck and Salt was dismissed for just 11.
Then Jonny Bairstow's crucial 31 off 18 brought his side back to the game.
Harry Brook top-scored with an unbeaten knock of 47 off 20, with four 4s and two 6s, setting a target of 123 for Namibia.
Openers Michael van Lingen and Nikolaas Davin gave Namibia a decent start by scoring 33 and 18 respectively.
Besides the two, David Wiese was the only player who contributed in the run chase. He scored 27 off 12, leading Namibia to end at 84/3 in 10 overs.
Davin was retired hurt and the catches of the other two were taken by the player of the match, Harry Brook.
