On June 26, the France vs Poland clash of the UEFA Euro 2024 ended in a 1-1 tie, as the titans of both sides - Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski scored one each.
French captain Mbappe returned with a bang! He scored his first goal of the tournament by striking a penalty shot in the 56th minute, taking his side to the round of 16.
Polish captain Lewandowski helped his side hold on to a 1-1 draw by scoring the second goal of the match at 79'. With the match draw, the Les Bleus finished second in Group D.
In the next match held at Berlin, Austria managed to secure a win against Netherlands with captain Marcel Sabitzer's 80th-minute strike, finishing at the top spot of Group D.
Donyell Malen began the match with a blunder. He scored an own goal just 6 minutes into the game, giving the opponents a lead.
His teammate Cody Gakpo rectified the mistake by scoring in 47' to bring Netherlands into a 1-1 tie with Austria.

In the last few moments of the match, Memphis Depay looked to level scores in the 75th min, but 5 mins later Sabitzer scored the 5th goal of the match, sealing win for Austria.
