10 tips to lower humidity in the house

Use air conditioner One of the best ways to reduce humidity is to turn on the air conditioner. Turn on the AC and let it run for an extended period to pull humidity out of the home.

Cover your pots while cooking  Boiling water in open pots can increase humidity in your house. This moisture contributes to the humidity levels in the house.

Seal cracks and gaps Cracks and gaps in the walls, roof, windows, and doors can allow hot, humid air to enter from outdoors. It is best to seek professional help to seal any gaps and cracks. 

Install a clothesline Even when the dryer is properly vented, running this appliance can increase the humidity inside the home. It will be a better idea to install a clothesline during the warmer months.

Take colder showers If your home has high humidity, then it’s a good idea to turn down the temperature of the shower. It may not be quite as relaxing, but the cooler water can feel refreshing and invigorating, especially on a hot, summer day.
