Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line Goes Driverless: Check Details

The Magenta Line of Delhi Metro now has completely driverless trains.

With 29 trains now running without driver cabins, passenger capacity has risen.

There is currently an attendant present after every three to four trains.

The attendants will be removed gradually, according to DMRC plans.

Following the Magenta Line, similar procedures will be done on the Pink Line.

It connects Majlis Park in North-West Delhi to Shiv Vihar in North-East Delhi.

The Delhi Metro's fully automated network is currently about 97 km long.

Additionally, train operations will be driverless in the following corridors covered by DMRC’s Phase-IV expansion.

The facility for operating driverless trains was initially launched in December 2020.

Delhi Metro joins the 7% of global metro networks with driverless trains.
