Liz Truss She is the shortest serving UK prime minister after being in office for just 44 days. She assumed office on September 6 2022 and resigned on October 25.

Margaret Thatcher She is one of the longest serving PMs of UK. Thatcher assumed office in 1979 and retired in 1990.

Alec Douglas-Home This Conservative Party leader served for 364 days. He assumed office in 1963 and resigned in 1964. He is the second shortest serving PM in Britain’s history.
