Bajaj Freedom 125 Launch

Bajaj has launched the Freedom 125 CNG bike, starting at ₹95,000 (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, with initial availability in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Gradual Nationwide Availability

The bike will be rolled out to other states in a phased manner over the next 3-4 months, ensuring broader accessibility.

World's First CNG Bike

Bajaj Freedom 125 is the world's first CNG bike, available in three variants, offering a combined petrol and CNG range of 330km.

Impressive CNG Mileage

In CNG-only mode, the Freedom 125 boasts a mileage of 102km per kg, setting a new standard for fuel efficiency in commuter bikes.

Cost-effective Commuting

With a 2kg CNG tank providing over 200km range and a 2-litre petrol tank adding 130km, it balances cost-efficiency and convenience.

Fuel Cost Analysis

In Maharashtra, covering 204km with 2kg of CNG costs ₹159, translating to a per km cost of ₹0.77, significantly cheaper than petrol.

Monthly Savings

Using the Bajaj Freedom 125 over the Hero Splendor Xtec can save approximately ₹330 per month for a 1000km commute, with Splendor's mileage at 89.5kmpl and per km cost of ₹1.1.

Bajaj CT 125X Comparison

While the Bajaj CT 125X excels in engine output, the Freedom 125 stands out with its superior mileage. The Bajaj CT 125X offers a claimed average mileage of 60 kmpl, giving a range of around 660km.

Competing with Petrol Bikes

The Freedom 125 competes with models like Honda Shine 125, Hero Glamour, Bajaj Pulsar 125, Hero Xtreme 125R, and TVS Raider 125.

Unique Market Position

As the first CNG bike, the Freedom 125 has no direct rivals but presents a compelling alternative to conventional petrol-powered bikes.
