Samantha made headlines after suggesting an alternative method to treat common viral infections.
The actress shared a photo and suggested using a nebulizer with hydrogen peroxide and distilled water for viral infection.
Dr Cyriac Abby Philips, aka LiverDoc on social media, criticised the actress and called her "health illiterate”.
He said nebulizing with hydrogen peroxide could be dangerous and Samantha should face legal penalties.
Samantha reacted saying that this alternative treatment was based on her personal experience.
She mentioned that her suggestion was with “good intention” and to make treatment more affordable.
She also said the treatment was prescribed to her by a doctor with 25 years of experience.
Samantha called Dr Philips reaction hostile, particularly his recommendation regarding legal repercussions.
Samantha added that her post was not for making money or for any brand endorsement.
Instead of criticising, she said the doctor could have “politely” asked for a discussion.
