World Snake Day:  The most dangerous snakes across the world

Inland Taipan  The Inland Taipan's venom is the most toxic of any snake. It has the most toxic venom of any snake. The School of Chemistry said that the maximum yield recorded (for one bite) is 110 mg. This means a single bite would probably be enough to kill over 100 people or 250,000 mice.

King Cobra Known for its intimidating size, the King Cobra's venom can kill an elephant.

Black Mamba The Black Mamba is highly aggressive and delivers a deadly neurotoxic venom.  

Russell’s Viper  Responsible for many snakebite deaths in Asia, Russell’s Viper has potent hemotoxins. 

Eastern Brown Snake  Fast and aggressive, the Eastern Brown Snake has venom that can cause cardiac arrest.

Saw-Scaled Viper  Small but deadly, the Saw-Scaled Viper's bite can cause severe hemorrhaging.

Fierce Snake Also known as the Inland Taipan, its bite can kill 100 humans with one dose of venom.

Coastal Taipan  The Coastal Taipan’s venom is highly neurotoxic, causing paralysis and death if untreated.  

Belcher’s Sea Snake Considered the most venomous sea snake, its venom is 100 times more toxic than a cobra's.
